Nigerian singer and songwriter, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G,frf has sparked reactions online after he called Afrobeat musician Wizkid the greatest of all times.
Terry G, who has recently released his album, dubbed, ‘Essentials’, took to his X app (formerly known as Twitter) as he stated that the ‘Essence’ crooner has built a legendary status for himself.
This is coming days after he trashed Wizkid’s music genre at a recent interview with honest Podcast, hosted by Nedu Wazobia and Toun Cole. He, however, picked Burna Boy as the biggest artiste ahead of Davido and Wizkid.
Taking to his timeline, he stated that his stance about Burna Boy being the biggest African giant still stands but Wizkid has always been the relevant singer of all moment.
It can be recalled that Terry G, finally drop his hit song, ‘Mary Jane’ featuring Wizkid after 12 years of recording.
He wrote, “Concerning what I said on Honest Bunch Podcast that was posted few weeks ago, my take still stands Yeah currently, Burna is the biggest but when it comes to all timer, I’ll give it to Wiz… y’all can’t deny the works and the legendary status he built for himself… WIZ is HIM!!!”
