Actor Zubby Micheal has finally broken his silence after being accused of not mourning his late colleague Junior Pope.
Recall Intel Region reported that Junior Pope, father of three boys, lost his life in a boat accident on his way from a movie shoot in Anambra state.
While condolences flooded online from fans and celebrities alike, Zubby Michael, renowned for his memorable performances in Nollywood, remained unperturbed. Instead, he opted to share a video of himself enjoying his time at a movie location, relishing a meal at a restaurant without a hint of concern.
A colleague identified as actress Angel Okorie also called out Zubby Micheal for not dishing out a mourning post to the late Junior Pope who used to be close friend of Zubby in the industry.
Angele Okorie wrote; “Dem no born am well to post Junior Pope, he knows why he is running. Nollywood knows his story with Junior Pope.”
“Niggaa he fighting everyone cos he wanna be number 1 in Nollywood. Mind you, Junior Pope na Zubby Oga”.
Another Instagram user identified as adapraise’s wrote; “I used to love this guy, so you were having beef with JP, no wonder you couldn’t summon courage to post him. I wish you have sense enough to ask him for forgiveness for the things you did wrong to him and try to amend your ways. JP’s death pain me I no lie, it looks as if it’s traumatizing me. Anytime I come across a video talking about him or his death I skip it cuz I’m tired of being heartbroken. I wish I have the power to bring him back for his wife and children’s sake. God please help us .”
However, Zubby Micheal has taken to social media to react following the accusation levelled against him for not mourning the late actor Junior Pope.
In the post shared via his official Instagram page today, April 25th 2024, Zubby Micheal said that it was a difficult thing for him to type “Rest in Peace (RIP) for his friend, Junior Pope.
Zubby Micheal wrote; “It’s difficult to say r I p Nwanne #ZM #A1 #doings #nawedeyhere #blessup.”
